Adam is HOME!!!!!!!!

This has been a great week. I have been really busy, but its been awesome to have my brother Adam home for the weekend. He has finally stopped growing, but at his 6'3" stature I feel like a midget and he reminds me of it constantly. Adam and I first travelled back home together after the wedding.

We have had a lot of great times talking and catching up as we have not all been together as a family since Christmas. We've had our family dinner together, we've gone to church together and we've laughed a lot and caught up on our arguing as well. We're really good at those indepth intellectual arguments in my family. My mom hates it, but we always make up in the end. Wow we have a lot of fun in our family! And yes those boys are as insane as they look!

So it was a great time together. Its perfect timing too. Adam is going back to Washington State, I am off to Haiti, and Seth is headed to Bob Jones for College! Weird how time changes things. One night we were all sitting at the table and I realized that suddenly we are all adults. Kind of...legally at least. Anyhow, I'm really thankful for the wonderful godly family that I have.

I am so proud of all of them.

I've also been busy sending packages down, getting my room packed up, and buying new glasses so that I have them for when I am in Haiti in case my contacts become a problem. I'm not sure that I actually have a picture of my new glasses yet, but I do like them a lot.
Only 37 more days to go! Please keep me in your prayers. I am getting more and more excited every day!

46 days to go!

I'm not going to post any pictures right now, but I wanted to just connect with everyone and say hello. Work, as always, has been crazy, but laced with amazing learning experiences. I've been working nights and sleeping days and trying to maintain my busy lifestyle. Needless to say, God has been teaching me so much. I woke up last Saturday morning and I was suddenly ready to go to Haiti. Up until that point I had kind of been unsure about leaving my job. Since Saturday I have been so ready to leave for the adventure ahead. It amazes me how God works.
Well, for now that is about all.
God bless you all

Beautiful You, Seth's Grad, Time with friends

Wow, yet another week flies by, and so much has happened. First of all I worked alot during the beginning of the week, but towards the end I got to really enjoy some activities. On Friday night we had our final girls club for the season. This club is called Beautiful You. It is for junior high and highschool girls. It is meant to encourage them to grasp that they are truly beautiful just the way they are(contrary to popular culture) and to help them as they go through the process of this transission through their school years. It is so much fun. I am a leader for the 7-8 grade girls. We had so much fun.

Those are some of the girls in my group. Its so neat to work with them at this stage. They are so full of life and have so much room for growing and changing. I love my girls.

We had a nice cookout and a grad/birthday celebration for those girls turning 18 and graduating from highschool and also from the club. We will miss them dearly. I am sad too because I will not be there to help out next year, but I know that we all have to do what it is God has called us too. These girls are pretty excited for this new adventure I am headed out on.

On top of all of that business, I also had my brother's graduation from highschool. Baby Seth is all grown up!!!!!! Its amazing to me how much he has grown and what an amazing young man he is. We love spending time together and he has been such a blessing in my life. Oh and soon Adam will be back to join us for a couple weeks to visit. Its going to be a great time together. Wow I do get side-tracked. :) I guess you're all used to that by now. Anyhow, Seth graduated from Dublin Christian Academy as the Salutatorian for his class. He got second place by only a few hundredths of a point. Smart kid! :)

Wow he looks handsome! :) We also through a big graduation party for him and all his friends and our family friends too. Mom did a lot of work. I tried to help out as much as possible, but she just does amazing. She's gotten really good at this by the time she's done it four times in the last 5 years!

Welcome to my Site!

Enjoy the updates and please leave comments! I'd love to hear your news as well.
